Looks good Terry with a nice mixture of era parts  :daumenhoch:  I like the brake tbh. Is it the same set up as Sean's old Decoster ?

Thanks guys.

Rear brake setup is:- 1976 Shimano Tourney centre pull with Shimano Q/R clamp hanger. Sean, I think, had the DC 750 setup, nice, but I just fancied a complete Shimano setup from lever, cable, frame clips to hanger, cable pull and caliper  :daumenhoch:

Cheers Pickle  :daumenhoch: The seat is an Ariake Jag II Champion in Oxblood with rare Oxblood Tange grips. The pics don't really do them justice as they match perfectly and give the bike that 'old' era correct look, imo that is  :daumenhoch:

Looks great Terry, loving the centre pull (but I would wouldn't I).  Terry is right though I had the DC setup on my DeCoster, the Shimano as good if not better.

Very nice, love the survivor look, actually looks like a vintage bike :daumenhoch:

The colour of those grips is good, not too bright :daumenhoch:

like Matt said, maybe some nice survivor tyres, bit of age to them, will complete the look 8)

BIG thanks guys  :daumenhoch:  Parts run down as follows:-

Survivor frame, fork and Tange Meriter Headset

Picked up this frame and fork from a member on BMXmuseum a while ago now and was going to restore it. When I got it, had a change of heart due to the condition of it. I just couldn't bring myself to strip all the history from it so I decided the next best thing was to build it with near to NOS or NOS parts as possible. I hope you like the finished outcome.

1979 Team Mongoose Frame and Fork
    1979 Tange Meriter Headset
    NOS Tuf Neck stem
    NOS Gold Win bars
    NOS Oxblood Tange grips
    NOS Shimano pre bent lever
    NOS Gold Shimano cable
    NOS Shimano brake pads
    NOS Gold Takagi crankset
    NOS Tange bottom bracket
    NOS Takagi chain ring
    Re-issue MXS BM-7 pedals
    Re-issue NITTO stamped seat post
NOS Oxblood Jaguar II Champion seat
    NOS Shimano cable hanger Q/R
NOS Shimano Tourney centre pull caliper
    NOS Shimano cable clips
    NOS Gold Ukai box rims
    Restored Campagnolo Record hubs
    NOS Asahi spokes
    NOS Shimano freewheel
NOS Cheng Shin fat/thin combo tyres

A well deserved thanks to all involved in helping me track down the parts I needed for this and for the guys who helped out with all the shipping from the US of A.

A special thanks though to keithd for sorting an awesome deal on the frameset for me, cheers brother.

I like bicycles & would like to trade an old bicycle for this bicycle.
My bicycle is older than this bicycle & has a massive front wheel...you will like it.
