Saw this on the bay for 100 pounds reserve and a postage tag of 30 quid.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270932269748'ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

It was on for 10 days with no bids, so tonight I put my bid in for £127.98. In less than 30 mins later, the same bidder puts in 8 bids raising the price to 129.98. Looks like shilling to me, but wanted to see what you guys think???
Maybe anyone knows the seller. Many thanks, Jonathan :daumenhoch:

seems a bit odd as you say. I wouldn't bid again unless you really want it.

then if they have shill bid it will back fire on them.

wouldn't surprise me if you get a second chance offer for your highest bid once auction ends

Maybe guys, the highest bidder at present was just putting in small increments to keep the bid low, on the hope that it stays that way  :coolsmiley:

I also think this, sounding it out 24 hours before it ends.

I think 8 manual bids over the course of 25 minutes is a bit suss, i would have got pi$$ed off with it after 2 or 3 and just walked away after setting the sniper with my max bid.
I think playing that game now you either have to be new , a bit nieve to ebay or be testing the water because it's your sale and your a shilling biatch. :coolsmiley:
People don't seem to stay new or nieve for very long on ebay.

Here's the one i use fella

Never let me down and won't bid if the price is already above your max bid. You get a few free then you have to buy them but they're pennies to buy.
Max bid in the last 10 seconds  :4_17_5: don't bother bidding up till then and then let it do it for you.

To be honest, when you see somethong with no bids, you either think your the only one thats seen it and if you dont get a bid in, the seller might end it. Also there was a reserve and I thought, if I got my bid in, it might put others off as they know someones already put in a bid at over £100. :-[

Dont these snipers take all the fun out ebay? Gone are the days of sitting up till the early hours, making sure you get that bid in during the final seconds :)

Fun ?????

If i want something desperately for a build that i've been waiting for a long time then i'm winning it with an auction sniper as i'll be all fingers and thumbs and my bid would probably have an extra 7 0's on it which weren't supposed to be there.

I've been watching a frame that was £6 ... then with 6 days left it went to £72  then yesterday with 3 days left its back to £6??????

I find that often... when I ask a question like 'can I get a courier to come collect' then drop the minimal bid ( so its in my buying list and I get email reminders ) it then gets bids on it straight away... which was what happened above. He must have shilled it up to £72 then realised I wasn't gonna bid to go over it and pulled the bid...

There is a special part of hell for these people  >:D

The new idiot-proof countdown timer has made it harder to manually snipe items now as everyone else is sitting at their computer with their finger hovering above the button.  There was a real art to hitting the button at the right time with the help of a stopwatch or similar.  Trust eBay to suck the fun out of that aspect of bidding too.   >:(

Bid history does look strange, but I agree with londonhellboy and thebigdog above, it may be that the current high bidder is only bidding in small increments thinking it’ll keep the price lower, but still just enough to let them win it.

Bidders can be strange for sure – I have a frame and forks listed in a 10 day auction at the moment with 49 watchers – bidding went up to £51 a few days in (reserve not met), but has sat at that amount ever since.

Hope it picks up again, as I got my eye on another frame.

Good luck with that rebel – nice frame.

Not a fan of auto snipe bidding. Love the countdown to the final seconds deciding when to throw your bid in. I get a real buzz out of it  :LolLolLolLol:
I need to get out more.

This 8 bid succession looks more like tourettes bidding  ;D ;D

Could anyone say what a fair price for rebel freestyler frame and forks might be? :)

problem you have is if no bid`s on a item the seller has more chance of pulling the auction or selling private if doesn`t feel like it`s getting interest

Bid what I thought was very good money for a complete last night only to be beaten by a tenner with a second left.

Funnily enough, I got a pm ten minutes later asking if I wanted to buy it for an extra £50...

Last time I looked, I didn't have MUG written on my forehead
