With the cold weather I haven't been working on a VW or a BMX recently. I have been indulging another hobby of mine though

I have built these:

Mk2 DP Firebird

and a DP Freestyler

And both together

They are 1/10th scale and made from styrene

What do you think??

Not sure about other ones - it depends what I can get hold of to measure up

I have a Mk1 Burner that I may do - the rear triangle may be interesting to bend/roll on that

But that said, the rear chani stays on the DP's were a right pain to get to look right and compoind bend the right way

As far as finishing them goes, the Freestyler frame is now painted White. They will probably stay as Frames and Bars though - I have looked into wheels, and can find nothing that comes close size wise.
The ones in the Toy Shop are too small and look odd in the frame.

I have photo's and dimensiond of original DP Freestyler Bars for the Freestyler frame, so will make them in due course

And I have part built a crank as well, but cutting out a chainring it proving very awkward!

I am borrowing a set of Freestyler Decals from a mate, to scan and reduce in size to see if they will print out in a readable way

Yeah I have, they are about 32-35 mm diameter
A 20" wheel at 1/10th scale is 50.8mm

Cheers - yeah, they are styrene (the same stuff plastic model kits are made of)
To a point, it is easy to work, and with some heat and a sharp knife you can do all sorts

Make some in 1/6 scale, they should fly off the shelves.
