Got chance to call in today n checkitoot , firstly was right about about Jamie the guy i spoke to on the phone, top bloke, took 10 mins out to walk me round the place pointing out was was planed to go in, top stuff
i say planned as some of the ramps have evolved with the input from the local riders , taking idea's building a mock up, and letting the better riders see if it works before commiting to build it, seems like a great way to get things right from the start
there's ideas and input from the older skaters in the area going into the build design to as well as the younger flipp crowd and skootie kids , Jamie said he wants every one to be included regardless of what you ride ,
there is a lot of thought going into the building too with a viewing gallery, shop, chill out area's etc .
Obviously to early still to get to booking the place for a Rad do but again the vibe was positive
got few pics although mostly of the skeletons but sure you can see the way its going to look.
Foam pit run in
16" Spen size bike for scale ref
view from the gallery
this area will have quaters at both ends with jump box in the middle, not to big apparently
then spines , quaters and rollers that flow you round to big jump boxes
From what Jamie has pointed out initially its looking like you should be able to flow round the whole park without having to stop,
unless Griffs in the way of course
Having been in and looked at the ramps even the big ones look Suspect and indeed Rad member friendly , there will be ramps for all abilities from what i can tell
the foam pit jump ramp looks sweeeeeeeeeeet
