I asked someone who does the same with model cars and apparently you just press it into some resin, then pour some liquid resin into it?

I reckon I could sell that at about a tenner a set? I'd be making a profit :daumenhoch: just need someone willing to risk lending me an old re pop or nos/very good condition dx end cap :daumenhoch:

You do realise that DX end caps are threaded don't you  ???

No good just pressing it into resin just to make a flat disc  ::)

I was thinking of making a 2 part mould if that would work?

Can;t see why it wouldn't work using a two/three part mould - you'd just need to ensure that you had zero air bubbles around the finer detailing (like threads etc). :)

2 piece should be Ok as you could unscrew it out the mould to leave a good enough impression  :daumenhoch:

Give it a go  :)

Am completely missing something here?
What is wrong with the DX endcaps that rakas17 has made...?

The caps are not threaded.  They are push in!  They have grooves that are around inside that look like threads but when you look close they are not threads. Just circular grooves. That's why they are a bu99er to get out.  :daumenhoch:

Anyway as someone else has said these are readily available as repops from rakas17 and joe 6187 so I'm unsure if you will get a massive market. You would probably be better off doing some other end caps on pedals that haven't been done yet.  :)
