It pisses me off Rob, as we get slated for being heavy handed and this happens, it's the a piss take on folks that play the system fairly !

I see your point Nick, and now Mr Brook has made his sale he'll be off with his money and make no further contribution to the site. Ta ra!  ::)

However well meaning, people advising a pm instead of doing it the right way don't help.  Would've been nice to have a crack at it, as a few might be thinking
Neil, the bathroom's free. Unlike the country under the Thatcherite junta

Who bought it then? If he got it for what I think he did then it was a good shout I reckon.

Not for me to say Dan, I don't know who got it or what they paid but I have a good idea. The buyer will see this thread and it's up to them if they want anyone to know.  :daumenhoch:

darrens bought the bike fair and square and for a lot more than many people on here were pm'ing the guy making offers, so darrens not at fault at all in my view, but i must admit i frikkin hate "whats this worth" posts i really do and normally its a newbie coming on here just to find out what it is and what its worth , just so they can whack it on ebay etc , the guy who sold it darren should in fairness pay for a site supporter tag or simply put a tenner in the rad pot as if he had put it on ebay he'd have paid 10% of what he got in ebay fees plus the 3 pont something percent paypal charges, so if he pays £10 he's had a real deal and it makes radbmx not like its just been used like a cheap hooker  ;D, thats my view anyway

Not sure that anything was aimed at Darren, and in fact we have exchanged PM's over the matter !

My beef is the guy has a hand full of cash and got away with not sticking with the rules !

No drama, life is too short, just a shame really

I agree with Glen and Nick, Darren's bought it fair and square, I knew he had and was expecting him to before he even told me, nice buy Daz. :daumenhoch:

Brook was at fault here, with his 'what's it worth?' posts, but as a newbie, I suppose he has the benefit of the doubt about forum rules and not knowing what the 'correct' thing to do would have been. ::)

As Mark said earlier, the oppertunity to all have a pop at it in the For Sale section would have been nice, again, not Kappy's fault. :daumenhoch:

WOW  , never new this was going to stir so much up, I did not know what the bike was worth or if i was going to even sell.
There was nothing underhanded about the sale at all , I got dozens of pm's on it but Darren was the only one to give out his number , after talking to him for an hour he seemed like a real nice guy and wanted to keep the bike almost as i built it back in the day.
Yes i could have put it on ebay but i wanted to know it was going to a good home. As for people hating "whats it worth posts" if you can't come on a forum with people who know about these things and ask the question where can you go???
As for ten percent ebay charges  everything i sell on ebay over £500 i always make a deal with the buyer to cancel the transaction after the deal is done so i do not get them.
I will quite happily pay up my dues on the site so i am not using it like a cheap hooker  :D .
I will get off my  :angrysoapbox: now and hope people will calm down as its only a bike , and if people want to rave please do it at me as Darren has done nothing wrong and paid very strong money for the trm .
