I Woke Up To My Mrs Going Mental!!!!
« on: March 08, 2012, 12:02 PM »
I got woken up at 8 this morning with a stinking hangover and the Mrs going of her head, screaming about bike parts all over the house ::)...

...normally i'd come back at her with a smartass answer about her shoes, bags, coats and make-up everywhere, but today I have to take her point :-[

There is, a set of pedals and a pair of valve caps on the bedroom window sill,
a Tuff wheel in my wardrobe
a set of handlebars in the spare room wardrobe
my complete Firebird Freestyler in the lounge
my complete Skyway Streetbeat in the lounge
various brake cable inners and outers on the 2 seater setee
2 tyres at the side of the setee
a Z rim hoop down the side of the sofa in the conservatory
a set of pedals in the kitchen cupboard next to the iron
a set of calipers on the chest of drawers in the spare room
a packet of spokes on the dining room table
a boxed freewheel on the dining room table
and a packet of cable end crinps on the dining room table also

anybody else suffering the same dilemas? :daumenhoch:

Dan, I live in a 2 bed flat, under our bed I have 3 big boxes of parts and 3 framesets, 2 complete builds in the bedroom, parts on the fridge freezer, the dining table and 5 sets of tyres on the wardrobe. I have all my tools filling the floor space in the fitted wardrobes and my build going on in the kitchen.

I really don't know why they complain. It must be time of the month buddy  :LolLolLolLol:

my wife is lovely & very tolerant to all this bmx shite, the only thing she objects to really is the amount of time I waste on Rad
she does have a very good point though, which is partly why I'm on here at lunchtime  ;D

best thing you can do is understand that you will never really understand her and just accept it, hopefully the picture below will help to explain

I'm still not allowed any more than 3 bikes though

She's not too concerned about my time on here, as the computer and TV are both in the back room/conservatory area, so even if i'm on here and she's watching the soaps, at least we're in the room together.  :smitten:

Having said that, I have to look at babe of the day when she's gone to work. ;)

Can't fault my wife when it comes to bike parts, i have stuff in about 4 rooms and she doesn't say anything, i've even got my latest build in the front room at the moment and not a word.  :4_17_5: :4_17_5: I think she likes looking at it.
One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

My Missus is well on side (at the mo!). She evens wants me to build one for her. That's a green light in my eyes to crack on. It's amazing how many bits have arrived since she asked that aren't right for her 'special build'.

Oh well :daumenhoch:

My Mrs is cool with all the stuff (Bike/Fishing/Car) at the moment but then it is spread out between our old house/My Mums/where were renting now and work.

You want to really pi$$ her off wipe ya spam javelin on the curtains after bumping uglies and shout "back of the net" as you crack open the tinny you've got stashed under the pillow  :daumenhoch:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

My Missus , don't mind my bikes i have 8 downstairs ..   She didn't like the one in the shower over Xmas and wasn't happy about the 80p wooden spoon should found in the BMX room
Black from Dying grips  ;D  Oh and the 6 tea towels covered in grease ..

Apart from that She Want's a hot heart ( because of the heart )  But they are really hard to find as people keep making them in2 Kuwi's  :knuppel2:

At it's worst I had 13 completes in our bedroom and parts all around the house. If you got the space agree to have a room each that you can do as you please in.

the way to do it is keep all the bike parts clean  ;) she can't complain about dirt then and then just say they are Art that you collect and worth money in the end  ;)

two bikes in the lounge and one in the bedroom + boxes and skyways under the bed - loads more at my mums place  :D

oh ! and the there's the boombox /ghetto blaster collection - there small as well  ;D

All my parts are clean B, they're mostly repop's so never seen a bike. ;)

It's her fault anyway, she wanted to buy the bloody house in the first place back in 2007, I didn't know that I would get back into BMX and become addicted in 2008 did I? ::)
