1996? Haro Shredder

hey guys i have today been given the daunting task of reviving this from the rusty depths of my friend mr dave t's shed of old n rusty.

he has said to me that he bought it in 1996. i cannot find another one on the net with purple stickers searching under 1996 haro shredder.
i have found others with red and blue stickers but not any with purple as these are :-S does anyone know if i am looking under the wrong year?. anyways he has asked me to rstore it to its original glory. i have a friend wgo works in chroming so its going to be rechromed!
i am looking for any original parts that may help with  this build as i know there are many variations of haro/fusion parts. any help will be greatly appreciated.
here are some more pictures of the stickers and if anyone can help sourcing an original sticker set in purple this would be greatly appreciated.
also THIS WILL BE MY FIRST RESTO!

bit of coke and tinfoil and that will come up better thn you think. Nice to hear of a bike with a bit of provenance. Most of us sold our bitd bikes

You've got a job on no doubt but its very rewarding to put the hours in...

Before taking the rechrome route save yourself a whole heap of rubbing and get yourself some Oxalic Acid and soak the rusty bits... its amazing stuff... easy to buy off ebay then you just need to make a 'bath' to dunk it in ...

im still with the rents at the mo :-S lol mum would go potty haha. my friend who works in the chromeshop owes me a few favours so i think it would save a massive earbashing from me ole mum lol

some of the chrome on the forks has started bubbling on the drops so ill leave him with the headache ;-) haha

I gave it to my neighbours lad 

It used to be mine in 99 when I built it up... I sold it to buy a pram for our first born  then brought it back last year. The bars where pretty rare Hoffman ones so I sold them to cover the cost of the bike then gave the bike away... Good karma 

My neighbour 'Shredder Lou' is now killing it.

That won't be too hard to bring back from the brink, especially if you have a mate who can chrome it.

Ive had a couple of these now...Really cool bikes .

If your mate owes you a favour and is prepared to get it completely mint then fair play, otherwise do what our Ed says and go to town with the oxalic acid, followed by some chrome polish etc and keep it as a survivor
