I use Simichrome, shipped in from the US, that's the stuff the chaps over the pond recommended - it is very good too!!

RIGHT IVE SAID THIS BEFORE BUT NO ONE FOOKIN LISTENS.

MAAS METAL POLISH IS THE BEST HANDS DOWN!

IT IS IMPORTED FROM THE STATES BY LAKELAND PLASTICS

AND IT COSTS AROUND £8.50 FOR A TUBE THE SAME SIZE AS AUTOSOL.

I just used what I could find in the local Halfords:
Autosol Metal Polish (mildly abrasive, they do a finer one for chrome but I couldn't find it)
Autoglym Super Resin Polish (consistency of suntan lotion, but gets that final shine without any scratching).
