1998 Haro Cozmo
« on: March 01, 2012, 11:08 AM »
Hi Lads,

Ive just aquired a pretty damn mint, chrome, completely original '98 Haro Cozmo from a garage clear-out a few miles from where I live.  It wasnt really something that I wanted for my own collection but I couldnt turn it down.

The parents of the lad that owned it, told me that it had only been used for about a year and then it stayed in the garage ever since.  It kinda seems a shame to split it up and sell the bits seperately cos it really is complete with all the original fusion bits. 3 piece chromoly crank, araya 48's, peregrine double clamp etc

What would one of these be worth/fetch or would it be more worth my while to split it?

Pics would help, but if really mint, and proper complete, I reckon around £150-£200 tops.

You may do better splitting it, but you'd be lucky to get much more than £30-40 for the frame and forks.

Don't think the cosmo was a great seller, much as not a lot of low/mid end stuff sold in that era,

They are a nice looking bike though, i'd be tempted to stuff it away for a decade and see what happens.

Ah great stuff, cheers for the info.  I only picked it up yesterday so it needs a bit of a polish etc.  I will try and get a few pics up soon.

Hmmm yeah it might be worth my while it seems.  I might take a look at the parts prices and see what it all adds up to versus selling it complete.  a quick turn around on it would be easy for what i paid but if I stand a chance of making an extra few £££ then I will do that.

Youre not feeling the frame then? lol.  I kinda think its pretty cool  8)

Yep, pig ugly frame, I was thinking of one of the others of the same era.

My opinion only, and my thoughts on the prices still remain, although F&F may fetch less...

Bet you'll still make a healthy profit though.

Ok then, rightly or wrongly I decided to sell it on as a complete bike.  If i dont get much interest then I will probably strip it and sell the bits seperately.  Its on ebay at the mo for £180 or best offer if anyone is interested?  Here are the pics:
