G'day from OZ!!
« on: February 29, 2012, 11:45 AM »
Hi my name is Paul & I am a BMX addict.

Come from Perth, West OZ.  I raced as a kid from 1981-1992 on a 1981 Redline MXII & then followed by a 1983 Nat Pro. Unfortunately both those bike met a horrible end about 15 years ago when my mum wanted all my shit out of her shed. Off to the dump it went............................... I mean who would want all these crappy old 80's BMX bikes.

Anyhow. I got back into racing about 3-4 years ago & collecting started not far after. My first build was a 1998 GT Interceptor (hence the username). Built a few other mid school bikes before I got the hunger for old school again. I had found a black MXII the same as what my old man had bought me in 81 & from there it all got a bit hazy.

Now....... the mid school has gone & I have become a bit of a Redline purist. Very happy with what I have built. Unsure if there will be anymore or not. I had promised myself that the PL24 was the pinnacle & to stop there.  ;)

I am hoping to get to the UK this year in May. My asked me that if he finished #1 in OZ (8yr boys) will I take him to Birmingham for Worlds? How can I say no?!?!?!?

And if any of you guys are Runnymeads riders look after my mate (Wes Hill) when he comes over for Worlds.

Welcome on board, mate. Love the Redline jersey :daumenhoch:  That track looks familiar. Is it the one near the aviation museum?

Certainly is. Southside BMX club in Bullcreek.

How did you pick that from that pic.

The pic of me on the bike is in Geraldton.

I rode at Bullcreek last year when I was over there visiting. My mate works up in Geraldton every so often. There's a vert ramp there but I didn't know they had a track.
