Mid School BRITISH race brands
« on: October 21, 2012, 07:23 PM »
Ive been looking around for localised brands that popped up in various countries during the 90's and noticed that there were actually quite a few countries with strong local BMX race brands in the mid school era. The USA, Canada, France, Netherlands, & Australia all had strong home grown race brands. When I say brands Im referring to a company that at least makes a frame, so brands like Sunn, Webco, Crisp etc, etc and not just someone making number boards or padsets.... Strangely though none from the UK seem to spring to mind.

I suppose Curtis has always been there, and Pashley made some race bikes, but who else was there in the UK that was strong as a race brand? Im sure there are some I just cant think of them.  :D

Wasn't Rudd Racing a Mid school British brand?

I've got some chrome Rudd Racing forks that look a bit Bottema-ish.

Very well made stuff.

Sometimes see Rudd stuff on ebay and BmxCity have some Rudd bits in their Warehouse.

Oh yeah and Revel?

Keep the Faith. L

Didnt Zima make a race frame?
It might have been just a one off that Steve made for himself  ???

Planet X had some frames out  but not sure they ever got past prototypes. Definately a collectors item.

On-One was the name if I recall rightly.

I always thought Revell was more new school than mid school.
