Coaster brake back up?
« on: February 13, 2012, 10:55 AM »
I've built my lad a bike for his birthday next week and put coaster brake mags on it, I have a caliper brake as back up, but should it be on the rear or as a front brake? Personally I use front and back brakes on my own bikes (Calipers), would like some feedback and others thoughts on this :daumenhoch:

Cheers

I have calipers front and back with my coaster brake bikes :daumenhoch:  but if only one caliper the choice is yours

My lads got his cycling profficiency after half term and im fitting a front brake on his as they say its a requirement...would be pleased if i could get him to keep it but to be honest i think i did well with getting him retaining the rear caliper ::)  saying that he loves messing about on one of mines with the coaster and both calipers...probably novelty factor dont think hed buck the trend of all the other little local  bmxers atm
