« on: February 08, 2012, 09:29 PM »

Been collecting bits for this build for a bit now , i've sent part of the skyway freestyle platform for rechroming so hopefully won't be too long . I'm leaving the frame etc as is as it's orginal , the drop outs are in super condition ,  few pics to start the thread off with i'll update as n when i've got something worth taking a pic of  :) ,  must admit i can't wait to see this built  :smitten:

Very nice Darren...chap i know suprised me recently by showing me his chrome Skyway TA in survivor but superb condition...were the platforms chrome? seem to remember them being a sort of  burnished finish??? i might be wrong as its a good 26 years since i stood on one.

The Skyway platforms i've seen had the mounting blocks in alloy and the rail was chrome , some loon painted the one i've got  :idiot2:  but it's only the rail so shouldn't stand out too much by being chromed

       cheers Darren

Sweet that mate  ;)
Iv also got a frame stander i need rechromed as its a peeling mess. When you fit it use a piece of inner tube to put between the clamp as it can pinch the tube if too tight and marks the chrome. Just what iv been told as iv not fitted mine yet.

Im guessing black tuffs? Graphites  :4_17_5:
