Bastard thing! It makes it more difficult because i dont have a vice, just a 32mm spanner.
I feel stupid posting this but just wondered if there are any tips apart from continued use of force!

I had one stuck on a bare hub before, I put in a load of old spokes and fastened it to a plank of wood using fencing staples
Over the spokes !!!

I'm still struggling years later with this barsteward :tickedoff: local bike shop only managed to scrape the otherwise pristine hubs flanges! Additional problem on the cluster side is that it was cut out of the wheel so stubby little spokes left so cannot re-lace - grateful for any ideas or offers of help - sorry for jumping on your post too!!

You could put a tyre on the largest cog and ride it as is  :D
