      well spent most of the day rideing the bike .
       had a good day overall fell off a few times but just got back on and fell off again 
      havent had this much fun getting hurt in years 
       
       i not sure about the colour it might grow on me but the sticker on the bottom tube sucks looks like snowflakes 
       so i changed it for somthing a little bit old school
       
       yep put checkers on it . never thought that at 42 i would be changing stickers on a bmx 
       UMMMM now how many sheets of ply do i need to build a half pipe

How did it feel for you?  Did it feel noticably different to your os bikes?

   it does feel different but not as bad as i was expecting you tend to lean over the handle bars more but after a while you get used to it (great for doing endos  )
   mind you i havent ridden an old school bike for years so maybe thats the reason it didnt feel to bad .
   its just great fun being back on a bike . i would highly recomend it to anyone whos been thinking about it

Pull the bars back so they're in line with the forks it'll feel a lot better given time to get used to it...  

The sample pic you posted earlier in the thread is correct...  

And move the brake levers down while you're at it...

a leap of faith, I agree, but you will notice everything is sharper, lighter, and ultimately more comfortable, even if a little contrary to what you are used to... Makes more sense from an engineering / physics / design perspective, tho', if you think about it!

    i moved the bars back and it does feel better 
    been haveing a great time just riding it around getting used to it
    can still just about do a 360 and a few other tricks which suprised me as i hadnt ridden a bmx in almost 20 years
   as they say its just like riding a bike

I'm in the market for a new school too , glad i read this thread , cause i'm about the same height and reckon i'm gonna go for a 20.5"  or 20.75" toptube .i'm watching a couple of Haro 500's on ebay , both for abour £260-£270, spec looks pretty good on them , and its a Haro , which always helps i.m.h.o 

I do love the look of the 2012 Chrome 000 brakeless  but i'm not 100% sold on the brakeless thing while i'm getting back up to speed , had my zippo brakeless and it feels equally good and scary , at 40 i don't need scary ....

Anybody have experience of the 2011 and 2012 Haro models?

I would imagine there are better bikes per pound spent than Haro ones.

Haro, mongoose, GT and Diamond Back are now all owned by big companies, (pretty much)

Spend wisely, there is no rush, takes 40 years to get to this stage, enjoy the buzz and the hunt!!

go for it man 
 the guys on here give good advice i find the frame size just right for my hight
 and with the bars back in line with the forks the whole bike feels just right
 i had not been on a bmx for years so was worried that i would not get the feel of a new school but i am getting there
 have been trying to get out on the bike most days since i got it which also helps , i cant say wether Haro bikes are good or bad
 i only bought the stolen because it was a bargin price and was fairly close to home (by close i meen it was 40 miles away  )
 i like how the bike rides its smoothe and very free running .
 so my advice is listen to what people say and  go out and get  a new school you wont regret it .
