That's incredible, an amazing restoration.
I've got so many questions...

The forks, they look brand new, maybe they are or maybe you went to town with the polishing, but they look mint.
How did you keep the 'baremetal look'? Is it a clearcoat, or maybe thin plating?

In the first pic, is the frame primered, or baremetal polished to a T?
The paintwork is top-notch.

I just spent the day polishing an old Tuf-neck chainwheel and thought I was doing well, but just look at that 'Goose frame :)
Opposing colour forks seems to be a good way to go, this is another great looking bike.

ruler there is a welded shim to strenghten the forks ,so unfortunately the stem only goes so far in,i would prefer for it to sit on the headset locknut but ce la vie

duncan the forks r nos from rudewheels ,me bro works with WW2 aircraft hence the baremetal finish, they have the same aerodynamic topcoat as an american p51d mustang "lamina flow"

the frame came to me freshly sandblasted ,so all of the hardwork was done ,she,s been sitting in me cuboard since feb, just waiting patiently for me to hand her over to superbikedan (cheers fella :daumenhoch:) for the paint job :4_17_5:
dan is your man for painting :4_17_5:

Cheers for the info. It's a standard to aspire to, that's for certain.

A handy brother to have.. I like the idea of seeing the welding and structure on a bike.
Then again, the paintwork is so good that you did the right thing by having a bit of each.

Hi and a great build.

It looks so fresh, you're not going to spoil it with decals though are you?

Whoa Steve, Brilliant 'goose mate. That turned out superb. I'm really lovin' painted geese. That is a first rate example man. I'm waiting for Bill at Vintage to get the supergoose stickers together for mine as well.
Top job mate.  :daumenhoch:
