'86 Robinson Pro
« on: January 22, 2012, 07:52 PM »
Finally got round to researching this bike which was my university transport 17 years ago and has been sitting unloved in the shed ever since  :'(

Only seen a handful of others with this sticker set on BMX Museum, seems like they were only produced for half a year, and none in white. The parts are pretty messy, guessing cranks, pedals and brakes are only originals. Forks don't seem to be and also came to me wearing Tuffs, still have them but think the pro class rims are more appropriate?

Anyone know if these came as completes or frame only?

I've seen those decals on a Robbo frame that was a baby blue in colour.

One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

Would love it to go to a good home, another 17 years in my shed seems a waste. Trying to find out a bit more about it and of course its value if I'm honest. If it could help fund a mini for the boy that would be perfect.

Am genuinely interested though – seems odd that I can't find another like it, and the serial no. is only visible where paint has chipped, otherwise paint totally covers it. Is this normal??

As you can see, it needs some love!

Yep 1986 team decals . These decals were also on the rare Robinson freestyle .. They were I believe sold as frame and forks and as a full bike   . Ive have  seen 1 white one before  and a few chrome ... I'm looking for an 86   :daumenhoch: I'd make that look like this in the team baby blue :smitten:

Have you got a close up of the forks  ???  They don't look like Robinson forks ...  :(.

But I just happen to have the right ones in the loft without a frame  :daumenhoch:

There were also padsets and seats to go with the '86 bikes with the same style of branding.
