I thought General when I saw the 'U' shaped support, too. My money's on a 1986 Ammoco Hi Styler:

As found on BMX Museum.

Forks most probably Diamondback:

Also BMX Museum.

Not DB MX forks (1977/8), they came in two/three hole in the dropout variation.

Closest I've seen is 1978 Moto-1.

Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

btw, anyone know what happened to that thread where the guy wanted to know if he was going after a laserlite .... ::)?

not 100% sure, but i think it came with the standing forks you can see on Phil's  (oberonspacefruit) bike in the museum; or here       http://www.vintagebmx.com/community/lofiversion/index.php/t3010433.html       --weird,couldn't log on to vintage ... :(

about the forks:  you  could send S&Mc Bicycle Co a pm [http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=871], as he owned a styler 500 bitd, so he sould know what forks go on a 500  ;)

here's another guy who has a 500 (Bmxbbb), so you could ask him if he also has your kind of forks or the standing type forks:
http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=388174      ............apparently there were also a 125 and a 250 model  :D

....global confusion  :LolLolLolLol:

...the frame numbers match up with some on vintage...

....really?  .... do you have a link?  8)  cause i couldn't find anything on stylers on vintage :'(.. Found a Traker Rumbler (which in fact DOES look similar to your frame) with similar serial numbers --set up with Ammaco decals ironically--, but that can't be the one you mean....  ?

I'd  make an extra thread on the forks if I were you  :daumenhoch: say what you think it is --maybe in the title already  :D

maybe im wrong but it does look like the ammaco styler 500 done a search on google and read a thread giving similar serial numbers to mine
will check again
it certainly is not the rumbler  :yahoo_silent:
i need more pictures to confirm the frame is the same but will try a new thread as you suggest for the forks
cheers
