So I saw this on ebay. I've still got my old 1985 Aero Pro burner and at the time, I knew everything about Team Raleigh...well, maybe I did'nt cos the next year they apparently brought out a Carbospec frame!!

Wots it all about then?  :LolLolLolLol:

Its a mk2 burner, but the higher end models had the carbospec frames instead of lead ones.

Aero pro it ain't..

Pretty good frames tbh, not everyones cup of tea, due to being a burner, personally, i'm unbiased to the Notts offerings.

I think, but am not 100% that the carbospec frames were made in Japan. Sure a Burner specialist will be along in a bit.

It's annoying when they put new skyways and everything on them, they look much nicer with actual stock parts, and it's cheaper

I'm pretty sure it refers to the amount of carbon in the steel (steel being an alloy of iron with other bits in, usually quite a lot of carbon).

Carbospec steel replaced mild steel that's all and was used on the lower end models.
The last editions of the basic mk1 burners had carbospec tubing then the lowest of the mk2's had carbospec aero tubing.
The aero pro was full chromolly aero tubing.
