Anybody know where i can buy some 4130 chromoly tubing. I don't want to be buying a shed load, just 3-4 metres

Try upton steel . I know they are a huge company and deal with all kinds of metals but not sure if it's just sheet they deal with.

I know what you mean. I have that trouble all the time at work. I think the tubing comes stock at 4metre so if you could find somewhere local they may let you buy one length. That yank site is just the ticket for small bits and pieces. dunno if they ship though, i never got that far
