Not on a frame but have on my old Triumph Herald suspension. It's got fantastic coverage over rusty, pitted surfaces and leaves a nice gloss finish once you've figured out heavy a coat to spray on. Mega tough too but not sure if it'd be too 'industrial' for a nice frame??  ???  Over to the experts........................

These help too if using a rattle can....................

I did my GT mach one in yellow hammerite smooth :)

Came out well. Sprayed directly on to the frame which had been stripped. Had to use alot of coats about 6 plus and the cheapest I could get the paint was 7 pound a tin. I have since found out that my local powdercoaters charge 35 for frame forks and bars, so wont use hammerite again :daumenhoch:

You dont have to use primer or laquer, I think it was two cans on the bars, two cans on the forks, crank and post and about 4 cans on the frame. Probably not as durable as powder, but way better and more durable than a normal primer, spray and laquer job :)

8 cans I think. Cheapest I could get was on ebay about 7 quid a can. I would look into the powder coat option though first. Ring your local one to see how much they will charge as it may be cheaper.
Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed doing it myself, but if your going to sell it on at some point, the fact that its been hammerited, rather than a pro job, will probably affect the value also the colour range of Hammerite is limited. Black, yellow and white are ok but I think their blue and green are a bit dodgy colourwise :daumenhoch:
