S&M Dirtbike
« on: January 16, 2012, 09:24 PM »
A friend at work has a Dirtbike frame, did have some mongoose dmc forks in it but another friend of his has it at the mo and he's not sure if the forks are still with it. It's in good condition no dents etc. He says its an early 1st generation one and he thinks around 91- 92. Any idea on ball park figure?
Thanks in advance, have looked at old for sale threads etc but not found anything.

Serial number and pics will help

I'm interested...  :daumenhoch:

If it's a frame only he's selling i'd say £100-£140 maybe a bit more depending on condition/year and if it has it's forks?

They seem to be fetching good money on the bay at the mo...  :daumenhoch:

Worth maybe even a tad more if it's a MK1 (condition dependant).

I'm giddy with exitement meself at the mo as someone's in a roundabout way offered me a platform Dirtbike.....whether or not it'll pan out is another thing.

Hi, thanks for the info Guys. He was interested in how much it is worth as the other chap who has it is a bmxer himself, although not using it. But he has a welder that my friend wants and was hoping to work out some sort of deal with it. He is going to get in touch with him and see what he says. If he's not interested in a deal then I will let you know. As for the forks, they used to be with the bike but he doesn't know if they still are yet. Will have to wait and see.
thx again, I knew you lot would know!!

No news on the dirtbike yet, but my mate turned up with the DMC frame today. Its chrome and a bit tarnished but good nick for being sat in a shed for so long. Where abouts would the serial number be on that? I can not see one any where. It is at least 95 as he had it for king of concrete 95 and got it second hand. Will try to sort out my photobucket and put some pics up at the weekend.
