Ouch! See this is the yin to the yang of me researching getting into track riding. I get myself all daydreamy and excited, thinking yeah I reckon I could give it a go. The thought of pain and damage to me and any new bike I buy puts me off a bit.Everything I read tells me not to push hard or reach beyond yourself at first. I'd be a natural at that approach ha ha! But then someone could go down heavy in front of you anyway and take you out. So selfish Glad everyone apart from the forks were ok...
Damn racing is so much fun to do, But when we crash we are falling a lot harder then 20 years ago
Cheers Jon, that's what I was hoping for. I'm not that competitive so will probably just be happy with improving technique and speed for myself very gradually once I (hopefully) start.I have put a couple of feelers out on bmxtalk (thanks jaymz for the heads up) for a complete bike, and I'm watching a good full face helmet on the bay.what else is wise (mask, gloves, knee & elbow pads, or full on body armour)?
