Bradford didn't put forward for a regional due to a major reworking of the 3rd straights (expert and pro) planned, which might involve the 4th straight being moved slightly as well.
The idea is to do it one stage at a time so we can still do our club races every 3-4 weeks or whatever.

It does mean the only Yorkshire regionals will be Midlands regionals, bit of a shame to have no local regionals at all - I think Hartlepool and Doncaster will be closest for me,

Gregster, I'm sure you could have a really good year's racing it just might have to be a bit 'mix & match'.  I realise that doing the North regionals is usually the best way to get everyone together and keep track of points etc but there are good regionals to be had just down the A1/M1 at Doncaster, Harworth etc if you wanted as well as all the club races.

to be honest im gonna look at that raced at bunnys 2 years ago and it was good only hour and half drive down m1 so may look at some of those too to get a better mix of dates in the mix.
if i remember rightly theres a great downhill track around chesterfield area too but cant remember where it is or what it was called either .

Chesterfield mate :daumenhoch:  , I seem to remember that they don't hold many races at the moment though.
Is it time for a Yorkshire & Northeast region again ???

I was at the meeting and I'm not sure what happened to the Leeds regional  :-\

Get yourself to the Blackpool one, you can get a B&B for about 50p

Is the Goldcoast one at Lytham(old track) ???

Not sure why theres no Leeds one, maybe Leeds club werent at the meeting ???

Actually theres a few problems at Leeds,no containers etc, track access is a nightmare :(,or maybe they just can't be arsed :LolLolLolLol:

Quite a few riders will be put off by these dates :(

Seems like an odd set up,don't understand :-\

I'm pretty sure it is 3rd JUNE, and Goldcoast should be the re-vamped Lytham track.
Jez Hayes [Leeds] is the chairman so I'm sure the reasons you've listed are why there's no Leeds regional, that was the score last time I spoke to him.
Having had some involvement with the committee, I'm sure they had the best interests of North riders at heart - possible the reason for the Brum inter-regional before the national there.

I can see the reasoning behind the Brum date now:daumenhoch:

The others don't seem to bad, although its not so good for the NE riders :(

As a group, yes. I can't speak for everyone's motivations. I don't think there was any shennanigans, not having a bradford regional cos of the reworking was discussed at the Bradford AGM.

I think the Brum inter-regional sounds great.

I believe there are a few OS riders in the Midlands region - we may even get three gates full!!

I was at the meeting and to be honest there wasn't that many dates to play with when you try and work around the nationals and worlds, and also when the clubs could fit them in around track works and stuff that was going on in everyone's individual parks. The NE were not there but they wanted a date as late as possible as I think they are waiting on funding to change the track.

The Brum one counts to qualify for the Brits , not that that matters anymore for OS  >:( .

Maybe with the Blackpool one we could do the OS grands again? Is there a date for MK this year?
