Solid Bikes.
« on: January 04, 2012, 10:29 AM »
Alrite all, after a bit of a Christmas pudding fuelled discussion I was reminded of Solid Bikes and their produce. My knowledge of them was vague to say the least. Correct me if I'm wrong but were they a Spooky Cycles affiliate/customer? Did they produce the Duke and Wasp frames? Was Aaron Huff a shredder? If anyone out there can help with any information on this topic it'd be most gratefully received. Ta very much for your time.

All I know about Solid was their fantastic headset (I have one in my cruiser right now). If memory serves me correctly they got dragged over the coals by another cycle company regarding a patent infringement or summat similar. Capagnolo maybe?

And there's that headset too. By far the best cupped headset around.

To be fair though, there aren't going to be many people who will want to fit very modern forks into a frame that needs cups eh?
