Stem/bar question...

Is there any advantage of having your stem bolted on from underneath as if it's upside down? Also anyone use s&m perfect 10 bars are these the biggest bars available currently got se powerwings but need to be a bit taller I think? Thanks guys

Flipping the stem effectively lowers the feel of your handlebars.
