New rim mate.

They just don't have the profile for any sort of decent braking.

will the using brakes cause any damage to the rime, obviousley apart from, the paint rubbing of?

If it's the rim I'm thinking of, it doesn't have a straight edge on it anywhere - it's completely rounded isn't it?

There won't be anywhere decent for the blocks to make contact.

:) The Skylark is front specific..I have one and there is nowhere for blocks to contact.

yes, and if you try to warranty it ,it'll be refused as there will be brake rub all over it, wait for the right rim dude...

i run front and rear brakes on my st martin brakeless rims. very much like araya aero profile but can toe in the pads to stop dead.

tbh i dont realy care if the paint rubs of as its going to happen anyway i just dont want the rim to get physically damaged over time which effects the strength and performance of the rim.

just angle the pads in - I use deviants front and back on my sons race bike - use those clear pads and they stop fine - they have been on for over a year now - the powdercoating is only just starting to wear - his are matt black
