The bottom bars are larger diameter tubing. You can see where it shrinks down to the normal size where the levers and grips will go on.

Why would you wanna put them on a new bike?

They'll probably weigh 5 times more than the ones you take off and make the bike feel awful....  :-\

it wasn't pointless if you were doing 'surfers' or 'xerox machines' in 91  :daumenhoch:

its there for foot grip  :)

And good for striking matches on to light your tabs at the park, or for filing your other halfs finger nails down if they chip 'em :)

you might want to try a set first if it's for a rider, had them on my ground master and thought they were horrible bars to be honest

What didn't you like about them, I had them on a Haro Edge, but this was in 1993, so my memory could be colouring the past, as it does!

During the weekend I will look them out and have a measure up. I wouldn't say they are that much heavier than the earlier kneesavers. They are a lot stronger though :daumenhoch:

I will also take some pics if you want. Cheers stu

Interesting.  I would have said the top ones were Dave Mirra bars - I'm sure that's what I had on my Condor for a good while.

Very strong, very cheap bars at the time. Took some good bails from me over the years and remained dead straight.

not enough sweep! some of them have a load of sweep Rob.. the flatter ones are loads better. My Low drags are nearly flat - remind me of my ladder bars  :)

Yeah pics would be nice, I don't think they are much heavier either, plus I'm not going to be doing any stuff on this bike that would make the weight difference relevant anyway!

Here's some pics of the bars :daumenhoch:

They are 685mm or 27" wide.
To be honest the weight isn't really that much heavier than a standard set.
Let me know if you want them.  :daumenhoch:
Cheers stu
