79 era you say  :smitten: :smitten: well Tuf necks came out in 77, Oury grips were popular then, weinmann calipers with a Team Products lever if you want to be flashy  ;). Araya 7B's, Ashtabula crank, KKT rat traps, Addicks seat clamp & chain ring......Mate the list just keeps on going and going. I guess it depends on what you want to spend. I'll be posting some pics of my latest build soon and thats fully loaded with 79 gear  :daumenhoch:

Here you go, this is my 1979 Mongoose DeCoster and every part on it is from 1979.  This won the MK Vintage Racer (70's) category in the summer so you know that everything is kosher (is that how you spell it?).

It is an ace site isn't it, lots of stuff that you see and start wondering how you can use it on your next build.

Those Q/R DC hangers are lovely as well, good choice.  :4_17_5:

I looked on Ebay.com and found this:-  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310280746997&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

Made by Shimano, vintage late 60's and is $8 posted   :4_17_5:
