« on: December 12, 2011, 01:18 PM »
Hi Just took a punt at this one off evilbay.

Does anyone know what it was in a previous life?  If so any pic's?
Supposed to be chrome underneith the homebrew paint job.

Just need some forks now and the rest of it. Got wheels and pedals - rest missing.. for budget build ;D

Well since selling up due to lack of cash  :'(

This seems like a reasonable start over for a budget rider.

Does look cheap with the welded on brackets  :(

Did remind me of a mongoose fs1 / early decade.

Thats not a Decade Jaymz as far as I know. Was thinking maybe DB but no diamonds on it  :-\

There seems to be a badge of some sort on the headtube dude. Can you not gently rub the paint and see if you see what it says  ???

yeah i realise that fella, i ws just stating that not all frames with chain guards are peices of shlt. I also though DB for a mo, but DB did that top tube style more in the late 90's with the viper and venom

:) Welded on seatclamps are usually just tacked on and easy to bend and snap off.

Well my initial thoughts was it was a townsend / universal / magna. BUT. I've never seen one with a slash cut top tube like a GT or Aero reflex before. And that platform isn't shaped like the normal POS fromes. I have no idea what you've got there. But I reckon it will build up into a nice rider. With some choice parts.

Take the angle grinder to those tabs and seat clamp and get started
