You may have seen the EK, well here is the 280X. Haven't applied the new decals yet & these are some of the components that may get shoved on it!!

NOS forks & bars...

Looks nice, But dont recall ever seeing a Torker with the twin tubes set-up like that.

Well apparently this is a prototype. Ill post a pic of the serial number tomorrow or Tuesday.

Not saying it's fake, I've just had a look through the museum section and the only other one to have the top tubes directly onto the seat tubes are mini's which have a built in seat clamp. Couldn't see any pics with the same BB tube either.

Been doing a little digging around & it seems my frame - TDD 8743 OP made about July '84 , was a kinda experimental/bastardized Pro X.
Hardened Torker folk may already know but for those who dont the serial numbers of the 280 range begin with TZZ (September '82) & run to TBB (September '84). If you need to know the month & year give me the the first 3 letters & ill tell you the month & year.

Never seen one of those before.

Good to find one in chrome as well. The standard 280X was weak around the seat tube gusset - wonder if that design improved things or made them worse...

I've had 2 Torkers over the years and regret selling both of them, really nice bikes to ride and even better to look at. This one looks very special indeed
