i went this year for first time in years!had the best time ever,it's what inspired me to get into this scene!a few of my mates have been going for 4/5 years they havnt even got veedubs!get yourself along next year!

you'd be gutted if you went to for instance 'adult performer of the year' and found that fisrt place went to a blow up doll!you'd also be gutted if you'd spent a million restoring a rare ferrari only find yourself pipped to the post by a 1/3 scale model at a show.this is no different,no ones denying the boys got skills but surely they should gain some sort of applause on a model building forum??just my thoughts,and hey..i know the whole thing is just for fun!

just seen this!!BUG JAM is the largest annual VW meeting in the U.k Rich.It's more like a mini  festival!I'm not really into beetles,although i was selling one last year which was the main reason i went,but there is loads going on.I was more interested in the bikes everyone was riding than the cars!!It's last weekend in July at Sant Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire.Will defo be there next year!!

I'll be honest..... when Carl first nominated the model ripper two things went through my mind - should it be allowed and will people be upset that it is ?

Then I thought.... it can never be entered in BOTM or BOTY so this is probably the place for it to get the recognition and I'm glad it's won because this "bike" seriously does have the X-Factor
