Tricky this - none of my choices made it through and I've gotta be honest, not one of these builds floats my boat so I'm out :yahoo_silent:

I'm certainly not voting for ridiculous money builds as they just seem to me personally to be missing the point of this hobby :-\

That PK Ripper that Rakas did is simply THE best build ever made end of........

I am new to collecting and bmx sites but I was directed to his thread recently and i read ever post in it. The craftsmanship, time and labour of love makes it the winner by a country mile. :4_17_5:

Genius.

All the other bikes are nice but nothing that we haven't seen before. Just my two pennies worth. >:D

Actually my votes were on John's Geese and Ash's Rippers as they were the bikes that got us into BMX as kids. Don't ever remember seeing Nat Pros BITD and the thought of not restoring the bits I can on my bikes I find offensive so if the ridiculous pink thing wins I'll be gutted.as it just says we should find the ost expensive parts we can and then get someone to build them into a bike for us - where's the passion and effort in that?

Maximum effort goes to Rakkas but even I can't ride it (got in before Ed did!)

I actually forgot about Carl's Robbo so that's getting my vote.

For the record BMX for me is hobby that I can't waste thousands of pounds on and is about taking something old and unloved an making it rideable and looking good again. Then riding it and not hanging it on a wall.

Rant over. Merry christmas planet earth!

Tend to agree with this.  Don't get me wrong, all these bikes are great (and are far better than I could put together) but the fact that none of them have a opc says something, to me at least.  Have voted all the same  ;)   Good luck guys!

Ever heard the saying 'To each their own', some people like riding all their bikes, some people like collecting and some people like myself like doing both, get over it, there is nothing wrong with any preference. And if you find anything to do with a Childs bike
'offensive' then you've got serious issues. We all know you like riding your bikes, you bang on about it often enough and that's great but I don't see your problem with people that want to collect. :idiot2:

I agree with every word said... BUT it's NOT a bike, it's a model so for that reason and that alone it wouldn't get my vote :yahoo_silent:         Still pure genius without a doubt.

As for Spens rant...   that is just childish with a touch of jelousy thrown in. It all depends on what you like, what you want to build, memories and probably your roots.

I had never heard of a MT fox and a lot of other brands of the like untill i came on this site, i had however heard of all the expensive US brands as that's what my childhood dreams were made of.

The Itson Hutch regardless of cost is built to a riders spec from 'back in the day' and couldn't have been built in any other way. You can't paint a bike pink and call it an 'Itson rep' ::) so it is what it is....    Top Class, like it or not.

If we all aspired to the same BMX's, Rad would be a very boring place.

Love to all and Merry Christmas, good luck to the guys left in the running :daumenhoch:

I'm not bitter that mine fell at the first hurddle :'(

Peace and love to all - I thought I could say my thoughts on here and don't mind if you don't agree with me so no worries.

I just can't see the fun in simply spending the price of a great holiday or a car for my missus on kids bikes. End of really.

For the record I'm not jealous lads, non of my bikes ever win on here as I build them how I would have had them set up if I'd had them BITD so I have no issues there. I was pleased when 2 of my riders got put into this comp and that they got through a couple of rounds but at the end of the day it was John's iconic blue Team Mongoose or Ash's round-top Ripper for me as they scream childhood memories everytime I see them.

Yes I know I go on about riding my bikes but I've never stopped riding and love a bit of resto so I just don't see the appeal of putting NOS bits together or not even building it yourself. If that's your choice then fair do's fellas, but it's not mine. My brother and I give up most of the weekend at MK offering assistance and advice to all of you on here on how to fix your bikes and we will always lend a hand to any of you if you're a bit stuck, so I think you're maybe missing my point?

Ok, enough said and I'll get back in my box then. It's Carl's Robbo for me all the way then ;-)

My votes in,was a tough choice between 2 bikes, both of which i have seen in the flesh, one of which has been on the start gate alongside my Free agent :daumenhoch:

I think the final has a good spread of bikes,3 freestylers, one pre 80 race bike, one midschool, two 80 plus race bikes, plus a marvel of model engineering.

There is only 1 bike i,m not so keen on.
