is it ok, for health reasons or for diary keepers to use on their bmx/cruiser a mileometer, cos when i've been out i quite often wondered how far (or how far me and/or my fellow bmxer) have ridden.

i keep one of those balls with a built in bounce counter up my jumper to count how many jumps i've done. It makes me look fat and bald though....
