Got this bike from carboot sale today but not sure what it is. The parts on it are, suntour stem, suntour 3 piece crank, shimano pedals - not dx though, araya wheels with suzue hubs, tange forks, and also crappy new school velo seat!! Not bad for only £8






Any idea's? cheers

yeah the tyres are so skinny, 1 3/8th!! i dont know if the wheels will hold my weight!  :LolLolLolLol:

Judging by that headtube I'd say it is a Patterson Mini. If I'm right then that is probably worth a fair bit.

Yeah i thought Patterson Expert with the machined headtube and the rear dropout shape.

defo looks like a Patterson to me too.....only that and a Curtis I know of with that shaped headtube and it ain't a Curtis!

the ridged section on the torkers/haros isn't that big tho is it - it's only about half that size ;)

not sure if this is a patterson as the ones i have looked at have a gusset of some sort between bottom bracket and rear wheel. if you look in second pic this doesnt have one. any other suggestions?

just found letters J R stamped on inside of rear drop out. any ideas? also bottom bracket is smaller than normal

Defo looking like a Patterson JR.

Look at the JR stamp, also the high seat tube and the line of the rear chain stays.

Mind you, I don't like to brag, but I got a burner, yes that's right, a burner, for 8 nicker last year at a car boot.....and there's NO comparison  :laugh:
