Primo rims, what hubs?
« on: November 18, 2011, 08:12 PM »
Need a bit of advice as I've just got a stunning set of primo balance rims in chrome (48's), and I don't know much about the newer school stuff. I want a pair of chrome or black hubs, that do the job and don't cost the earth.  What and where should I be looking?

Oh, and they need to be 10mm axles as they will be going on an early 90's master (rider)

Cheers for any help kids!

Not many people like them, but go on winstanley's clearance section, you should be able to find some there!

try cyclesport or bmxcity even chainreaction.
Think winstanley's had some cheap g-sport hubs a while ago

Cool, cheers guys. What's with the dislike for them? They seem strong and light, and look the dogs in chrome, but I know squat about anything after about 1991  :LolLolLolLol:

I think the dislike refers to winstanleys not the rims :LolLolLolLol:
Most people on here refer to them as w&nkstanleys

You are going to struggle to find proper new school hubs with a 10mm rear axle, bmxcity will have some prolite ones which are fine but they'll be black.  If you want Chrome go for some superpros  :daumenhoch:

Theres loads Rob,  most of the modern female hubs are 10mm with 14mm adapters built into the bolts, profile are available with 10mm bolt in or 14 mm nuts, Deluxe do a cracker which are 10mm bolts but have 14mm adapters built into the bolts, its the 48 hole drilling that will be the issue
Whats the matter Kid, don't ya like clowns? Don't we make you laugh? Aint we fukkin funny?
