Home Anodising any good?

Guy's seeing that CCA is putting a hold on new work ive been looking round at other avenue's, so what these home kits like?? anyone use them?

I bought one once to do a couple of small parts at work

Funnily enough i was thinking the same today in work. Want a white oddy V3 stem but they dont do them. Fook it i thought i will do it myself........ turns out white is the holy grail of annodising 

to quote one article i read - whoever develops a reliable method of producing a good white annodised colour would be an overnight millionaire

It was about two years ago and did em at work...   for a customer not BMX parts 

I know it was fiddly to get right, but like most things its experience

I've thought about getting a kit to do some parts........just don't think there's a big enough demand to lay out

Thanks i didnt know that  looks like some reserch to be done.

I was looking at a kit for around £70 as i need a set of breaks, Crank and possibly rims done.

Well i need blue mainly at the mo. There is an anodisers no far from me but i have fired them a couple of emails with no reply so maybe not intested.........i might give them a ring and see.

Has anyone tried or been able to get hold of a rattle can make called METALCAST by DUPLI-COLOUR? Check the video on their website it looks good, however it is not readily available in the UK. Would be interesting if anyone has tried it.

I got a decent annodisers in walsall but I can never get out of work 2 get there  u have 2 do all ur own prep work tho
