If you run a back brake, run a gyro.

You can't go wrong with an Odyssey GTX (or GTXR)

2 cables are better than one.

Barspins or whips?

If no then no gyro

A straight cable's easier to set up and less hassle
2 minutes turkish...

I ran a gyro from the early 80s when they came out but a few years ago I switched to a straight cable (mainly cos the frame I got didnt come with mounts, it was right before removable tabs). It was OK and looked nice and clean, but my current bike came with tabs and im back with a gyro. Its great, love it. Less cable stretch, no cable flapping around AND i dont have to unwind the bars on the rare time that I spin them.

I chose the Oddy unit that has the built in pinch bolts so I could shorten the upper cable, with oddy twin cables/ lever.

I use a Dragonfly Gemini upper gyro cable, and a regular Tech 99 (I think?) lever.

The D.G. is cut to length, and connected to my GTX-R gyro (fruity name, but great bit of kit - with the pinch bolts)

I use an Oddy M2 twin cable lever. It only comes in "right" but it works on either side

I always run a gyro and a well set up one will still lock the back brake at will with one finger. I went for the Snafu Mobeus as it had good reviews, it's easy to set-up, looks good and is about a third the price of an Odyssey GTXR. I run Blank cables (good colour choice) and a left hand eclat Swift lever.

Mine's much the same as Alex's - GTX-R gyro, medium monolever with the duel cable deal. Works a treat.
