IM OUT OF RETIREMENT!! t.a loft find! (UPDATE )

this must be a new world record!!id only retired this afternoon after the patty was done but my mate whod only got into the o.s scene a couple of months back wanted to shift his t.a as hes split up with his missus and had nowhere to store it.ive been looking for a complete of some description to use as a rider as my cw was too nice to trash and had recently been retired to my museum.my mate only got this back in august on ebay,its been stored in a loft since 86 apparently,original paint and decals in really nice survivor condition,the parts are pretty gash everything is a copy.the tuffs are in really nice condition nothing a good clean wont sort out but the rear hub has been pushed in sightly although we got it spinning freely again this arvo and its repairable(hit me up if you want to buy them)ive got a set of black metal hubbed tuffs to go on tomorrow maybe,more upgrades will be made in the future all ready for a lush summer rider,he also threw a back kashi aero into the deal so that awful aeroyal will be binned straight away


SO AFTER JUST ONE WEEK I KNOW I SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE A SLOW UPGRADE BUT HEY ITS BEEN 7 DAYS!!GONE IS THE FREESTYLE LOOK TO BE REPLACED WITH A CLASSIC STREET/RACE LOOK

alot of the cheap parts have been upgraded,it now has rear dc1020,gt pro bars,kashi aero,ame bubble fonts,tioga seat clamp and a tuf neck power disc  and silver dc tech 3 on the way,the frame pad has been thru the wash twice to remove 25 years of grime,the pedals can wait for a while,at least until friday
i want a red seat for this and red grips so ive got a red and white chequered seat cover on its way,red grips are being searched for

Sweet TA rider. After seeing Tony on his at mk is what got me wanting to build a white ta to ride about on. It looks like white ta's could be the weapon of choice for a few for a ride round the lake next year mark

i cant wait till mk glynn,the t.a is already being upgraded,dc 1020's will be replacing the formos calipers,black tuffs will be going on tomoz as will a black kashi aero

Looks good Mark      ........ surprised you binned the aeroyal though    nothing against burners me but they are one of the ugliest seats produced ......imo

i sold the aeroyal on burner world joff,i was quite prepared to stick it in the bin just to rid the world of another fugly seat

my opinion: 

get a black brake or have that one painted (depending on condition)
Black chainring - unless thats a redline 
get the seat clamp done black and strip back the fins/lines so they are silver again

and thats job done!

nice si,but this ones going red and silver/polished,i want it to look like a bit of a mish mash,so it looks like it literally rolled straight out of the 80's.i dont want it to be clean build like my other builds,the blue caliper was a purchase before i decided on the red,never mind

nice - I would not mess to much because it has the 80's look already, and to many ta's look the same.. 

plus a bit of powder or paint keeps the budget down and keeps it real
