Need information about Universal bmx's

I am sure that I had one of those Universal's when I was a kid.  It was a POS and heavy as fook, but I wish I had seen it up for sale for a fiver.

Hi guys i have just got a hold of what i belive to be a 1979 Universal speed bmx.

What made you think it was 1979?
