3/8 inch x 24 tpi axle nuts needed for freecoaster hub.

anyone know where I can get some of these in the UK?

I've stripped the axle nuts on my freecoaster so I'm out of action till i get some 24tpi nuts (which seem non existent in the uk) while i try to raise some cash for a new back wheel.
My first point of call was custom riders, the guy on the phone says they dont carry any old stock anymore, and seamed baffled when I mentioned 24tpi axles and old suntour/ khe freecoasters.
Also tried Billy's in Cambridge but they don't seem to have any old axle nuts either.

Ive seen flatland fuel stock 24tpi nuts but looks like the postage will be crazy to send to the UK... if i could just get them sent out for the price of a stamp rather than $15 for shipping!
hoping someone has a pair kicking around???

you could try giving BMX City a call (used to be Cyclesport)

Or maybe Dave in the Rad shop?   :daumenhoch:

If it is german it should be an M10 nut?  the have been metric threads for 60 years :daumenhoch:

ah a M10? i guess this means a trip to the local b & q or  an engineering place...
still I wonder what sort of market there is for a well used Peregrine HP-48 chrome rim?

thought they would have fitted, every freecoaster i,ve ever had was a 24tpi. try the m10 nut to see if that works. should be quite easy to get hold of. the nuts i sent will fit a front skyway wheel too.

you could always try halfords too, i,ve had a 10mm axle from there before that used a different thread from the normal 26tpi. take the axle with you and ask to see if they can find any that fit.
