In this pic you will find Brett and Dan
I am the one on the doing the Miami Hopper and Dan is stood next to the ramp. The bike I am on is the prototype GL Plus. I thought there was no surviving pictures of this bike. You will note that the frame only has two holes in it and comes out by the top of the caliper not below the caliper as on the released GL's

In this pic I am holding the bike of my best mates bike (Justin Whitehead) Happy times were had with this guy and I sadly miss him. A great freestyler that rode pro with me back in the 80's

I think the pic was taken back in 1984

I am absolutely delighted these have turned up. Brings back some great memories. This is the first frame I was given by Dave Park (DP) Just as I started to ride events. I rode for 2 local bike shops aswell.

Don't think it was a prototype, just another dp fook up, they sold anything and everything so he could start making beds out of the remaining dp steel

Good days Brett, 13 year old lads going out on their bikes at 9am and going home when the street lights came on.

I was on my Piranha Freestyler in the pic, all the other guys apart from Brett were from my Village, the twins had matching Ammaco Koolstylers for Xmas but by the time this pic was taken, they started to add their own personal touches and the following Xmas the lads had their Koolstylers taken up to the DP factory down the road, one ended up dayglo pink, the other green.

I still drink with most of these guys now, sadly though between the 2 pics 3 are sadly no longer with us.

Rich, that 'bird' is John Kemp who left school to join the Army and toured in Iraq and Kosovo, he's about 6'2" and 18 stone now and walks with a false leg from a motorbike accident - he's a local legand aroung my way.
