I managed to take a few pics of the modified and patched areas of the frame, and also took a pic of how the build is coming along.

Headtube/downtube crack repaired with a big plate/gusset

3rd drop-out added on peg side, and stays neatened up

Chainring clearance dents on chainstay (on both sides, for LHD)

Crack on seatstay/seat tube patched up (on both sides)

Frame, Forks, headset, Gyro, GT stem, Kneesaver bars.
Its getting there.  :daumenhoch:

Not exactly flying along with this build but its getting there. I've got the double seat clamps cleaned up, complete with QR bolt (to put the seat up when cycling to riding spots) and center pull hanger for the pitbull.

The cool thing is, these are the actual 2 seatclamps that i ran on the bike when I rode it.  :)

The only thing Ive not got ready are the wheels.
I thought I had a pair of super pro's but it turns out they are both fronts  :crazy2:

Yeah, i guess so. Or at least a spare front hub cos I'll need the rim and it could do with a re build anyway. So if anyone has rear super pro hub the want to swap for an OK condition front. Or a rear super pro wheel they want to swap for a front ....  :-\

Finally got round to doing a bit more work on this bike.

I had a dig around my shed and worked out what wheels Im gunna use. I stripped down 2 used wheels I had to give me a tidy(ish) pair of rims. I managed to find a super pro front hub but no luck with a rear. However I did find the first PE hub I made which was used on this bike at some point so I went with that. One set of spokes from RADSHOP and a day later the wheels were built.

Then it was just a matter of putting on the NOS GT tires Ive had for years, sliding on my old 401 cranks and DX pedals (the pedals already had the spindles swapped to LHD from the last time I used them) and its almost a complete bike. Just gotta put the Jive grips on (which I found later on that day), a chain and a set of cables and its done. Oh, and the Kore bash guard and a set of peg.

Loving this  :smitten: Top quality build and looks to be shaping up into a beauty. Love the fact the bike has so much history as well.  :daumenhoch:

Thanks Guys. Im pretty happy how its coming out.

I was worried that where some of the parts are really nice (Re-powercoat frame with new stickers, NOS tires & levers) the build might be let down with the non Mint bits. The rims are peeling and dented, the seat is scratched, the chainring and cranks are tatty. But now its almost built its fine. The used parts just look Original (which they are) and the mint bits seem to raise the level of the overall build and dont look out of place. I might change a few bits yet but its all going well so far
