Again Peter, don't worry about it. Buy yourself some axle converters and get riding. More than a few riders simply threw their 10mm wheels into 14mm dropouts with a couple of big fat washers and let them sit where that sat so to speak. Didn't kill anyone..... I think....

Seriously though, if you fall in love with a particular bike you'll be out buying the right components in no time.

OR .... If you wanted to stay on an S&M tip, the dirtbike? Stable angles, mid length back end, gyro mounts. Higher standover. Perfect.

Gingerholmes' Dirt Bike is an absolute treat I have to say. Another bike you can't go wrong with   :daumenhoch:

I want an S&M because I like the engineering thought process and design methodology that goes into them also the fact that riders own it.

I like the deign touches on the WTF but the twitchy head angle worries me......mainly because I’m crap at riding but then would it be something you’d get used to, plus like bob said I don’t have owt to compare it to.

I know there’s been a few S&M’s break but no more than any other and let’s face it................I’m not going to ride it that hard.

I had a taste of N/S with my WTP and loved the geometry of N/S bikes......
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

I'd suggest an LAF but I don't think they do them any more. What about the ATF or BTM? They ain't scooters but are bang up to date, design wise

Don't worry about breaking them. The warranty process is a good one if you're unlucky, and it's massively unlikely that one will fail to the point that it injures you. It's something I never consider when I ride my LTF, arguably one of the more fragile S&Ms.

You could help the twichy front end out a bit by running a fatty tyre up front and a skinny tyre out back. This relaxes the head angle a smidge.

Otherwise, pull the trigger and order yourself a custom   :daumenhoch:

If one of these comes up for sale secondhand I'll jump on it as I'm a short ass and love the low standover height. My KHE is low as fook and gets labelled as a scooter. But when you have ducks disease in the legs like I do it suits my riding. And I love s and m. My RV bargain off Greg at mk sealed the deal for me. I want more!
