No - was just pointing out you had time to peruse teh internetz as well, not saying there's anything in common with over-inflated postage and schill (sic) bidding.

You're a very angry young man aren't you  :D

no. Im a very angry OLD man :)

Ill be honest, im just bored of the hipocracy (sp?).
Sure biagio is a complete muggy c**t and overcharges all the time for stuff, but in this instance the potts bolt is fairly priced and the postage is reasonable. Ive seen things turned over in the for sale section at more of a profit than he's making on that potts bolt. Ebay is fairly simple to understand (for the most part), aside from people pretending things are not what they areally are you see an item, read the description, make a decision and buy or not. BIagio may be a lot of things but hes pretty solid on describing his items on ebay.
The price is a matter of opinion, the way he deals with people is also a topic for another thread. He isnt forcing anyone to buy anything.
IMO, he deserves to get shit for the way he buys stuff up to sell on (even though a lot of people on the 'for sale' section do exactly the same), but this thread was ill judged, poorly researched and blatently wrong.

Its not a crime to be a muggy c**t, but it is muggy c**tish in the extreme to accuse somebody of being a muggy c**t when the accuser hasnt doen their muggy c**ting homework.

I'm pretty hot on my reading

No. honestly you are not.

You can wrap it up any way you want and whinge about it not being in such and such a place or it should be here, or there or  blah blah blah, the main point is THE POSTAGE AMMOUNT IS LISTED VERY CLEARLY IN THE AUCTION. Its even written in LARGE TYPE so you dont MISS IT.

Maybe your the type of person that likes to NOT read an auction description? perhaps words offend you in some way and you prefer to look at the pretty pictures? whatever the reason its your oversight not his, so really you look a right mug by :
1. writing this thread
2. still arguing the toss after youve been shown up.

Now carry on searching the internet for petty things to whinge on line about, what next - £1 off the price of a tyre? ;)

Personally, when im wrong I write 'fair enough, my mistake, sorry'

He (Biagio) may well be a cretin and a bellend of the highest order, but in this one particular instance - he isnt. And thats why threads liek these are bad because they are full of BULLSHIT AND LIES

that may well be true (and they are certainly shit and the bolt head shears off as soon as you try and tighten it up), but if you can find another oddyssey bolt online cheapr post it up as a comparison.

Terry - if I offended you I apologise.

'your mum' is a well known response to flaming, and not a direct attack as Im sure you realised (from your response)

Mr Sharp

I wasn't looking for a confrontation but I appear to have found one so I will do my best to explain the situation as it occurred.

I wanted to buy a stem bolt. I posted a wanted ad on here ...didn't hear anything...decided to buy one off ebay. I did a search for 'hollow stem bolt' and looked through the results... saw the Oddy one for £9.99 with £7.99 postage ... thought 'how the hell can you charge that... I bet I know whos selling that!' ... clicked on it saw the price ( £9.99 ) and postage price ( £7.99 ) and who was selling it...and, for once, as I don't think I've done it before, posted up on RAD as it seemed extortionate! Other people checked the link and saw the same as me. Most UK sales show the UK postage next to the price... you must agree that its common practice... but as revealed by Tony ( politely ) and you ( less politely ) had I read the description I would have seen that a different postage price was shown in the description.

You reap what you sow and the tone of your emails brought out a similar toned reply from me... my mistake as I really should know better about arguing with people on the internet by now.I don't look for confrontation on RAD... I have had 100% good experiences on here until today when you decided to go off at me for my 'mistake' but I won't let it ruin my overall experience.

Your actual point was of course correct but you seem to be ignoring the point that in 1) an ebay search 2) in the postage information of the item AND 3) in the checkout page of the item the postage is listed as £7.99... so yeah... I made a mistake... but, as I tried to explain, its not a difficult mistake to make as it has been listed incorrectly. That's all I have to say really...

I feel much better now having given you the full story and what do you know... the suns out and the kids want to go for off for a ride so I'm going too.

Cheers
Ed

YAWN, what makes me laugh is that when we all meet in the flesh there is none of this arguing and everyone plays nicely.

All to easy to misinterpret the tone of a post and start a keyboard slanging match I suppose.... ::)
