Hi all newbie from plymouth. NOW WITH PICS
« on: October 08, 2011, 08:15 PM »
Hi my name is al, sorry for the long intro. And a big thanx to andy68 for helping me get on the forum, and for selling me his cali.
Ive been into bmx since i was about ten when i got my first for xmas, it was a (PMX) yep thats right a pmx 900 it was from germany as my dad was based overthere in the army,
I had this a few years then when i got myself a job (a paperound ) i bought myself a secondhand mongoose Grand Prix, ok i know most people are not big fans of the grand prix but to me it was awesome as it was a mongoose. I still have this  bike today, well whats left of it. f+f+bars and one brake. in a poor state after being in a shed for 25+ years.
 Other bikes ive also got.
A specialized fatboy 415 which i bought brand new in 2000 and used to ride  to work and back much to the amusement of fellow workmates.
A 2008 mongoose villain bought brand new.
A 2008 retro se quadangle.
And some old school.
An almost completely original survivor 1984 mongoose grand prix the only things ive changed were the tyres as the original cheng shins were starting to crack so i got some reissue comp threes
and put a pad set on it. And recently got a 1984 mongoose californian from andy68. Cheers all.

Now with pics hopefully.
The f+f from my grand prix from bitd.

The cali i rcently got from andy68 on here, now with renthal layback.

My almost completeley original grand prix in superb survivor condition with its original cheng shin tyres chain guard reflectors from the bike shop etc. My mate got this for me from the bay

In the sun.

And the retro quad which i bought built like this of a guy at vw show.

All the bikes are riders except the quad which ive had for over a year and never rode it yet.

Welcome aboard, hold on tight it can be a very fast ride!
I'm over the river in Kernow now and again (work takes me North), do you know of any tracks in the Plymouth area that an old fat bloke on a kids bike can ride?
Who wants to ride with Eddie Fiola?

Cool i was wandering if there were any more people around this area. One of my friends is rebuilding a raleigh team burner, but most of my mates just dont understand  :LolLolLolLol:
I dont think there are any tracks left around plymouth anymore, apart from flatspot which is an indoor skate park/bmx.
