right then.

am looking for an approximate value of the following bike.

its been offered to me and i think i might buy it.

it was built over a 3 month period in 2008 and all the parts were nos, with the exception of the frame and forks which were mint and repowdered etc.

the only not right part is the seatpost, everything else is mint, new and as per full bike factory spec apparently.

haro vectors, mx900 with tech3, oakleys, shotgun 2, tuffs, ct cranks and graphites etc

what say thee?

prob worth split around £1500+ at a rough glance

its not a freestyler but a master but rare

not sure wheels and tyres are correct though

cool. ammended title.

been on the haro registry and the only image of this frameset is in the gallery as a frame and forks...there is a gen 1 bike, with white tuffs..everything else looks there or thereabouts.

yeah Im doing a chrome gen 1 master stock build now, tyres are hard part, cycle pro snakebelly I think, maybe schwinn maximizers

Keep the price down, ive been trying to buy my brothers from him for years, telling him its worth a few hundred quid

, he used to use it just to go to work and back, thats why the Diamond back tyres are on it, but for the last 2-3 years its just hung up at our unit, its original paint, stickers etc, not cleaned for about 20 years though

its as clean as it looks.

one grip got a slight tear in the end and a lever got a bit of scuff from a slight incident...

its just a nice things to have i suppose, and with the laserlite, its fills the gaps in my collection again, having dumped the VDC and the laserlite originally.

didnt anticipate the spend if i'm honest but these opportunites dont come along very often.

pretty sure mate as had the below pm from dom when i bought my gen 2 master

The US Made frames never came as completes, framsets only so aything era correct is good.

i think there is some confusion over this , and im not 100% but this link to doms site shows 1984 1st/2nd gen masters as complete

they were then mass produced from the taiwan 3rd gen according to the specs

I think first up its fair to say that although the US Manufactured Masters and Sports were seen as completes in some promotional shots ( trick or street advert and the bike tests articles), US Made Haro's only ever reached the shops as frame and fork sets. The third gen Tai made 84's came through looking something like this one although the tuffs were white (blue on chrome frame sets). The tyres would have been National Panaracers or Shwinn Maximiser green label 1.75's

Heres the third gen spec sheet from the site. The picture of Jays bike at the bottom is a rep of a promotional shot, and to my knowledge none were sold like this..

The only other thing im not keen on is the green in the decal set which is way too light. Dels are a better green and ill hve some soon too that have been artworked to within an inch of their life

Its a bloody nice looking bike though regardless of the spec inaccuracies.
