How do I remove the riveted lever so I can get the cali parts annodised gold? and can I re-attach after?

you cannot do it with disroying it i'm afraid...   :-[

i'm sure there was a thread on here some time ago about this, there was some one in the states selling new Q/R levers and a rivit kit to replace them like new

There's no way of saving the quick release Grant. Drill it out, and buy a replacement from Porkchop. You'll then need to find someone with an industrial press to rivet the new release on. I restored mine on my AP  :daumenhoch:
