« on: September 27, 2011, 06:45 PM »
Well just opened another parcel and very nearly did both variations of wee ;D ...sex been the most  :LolLolLolLol:

These are what i have been searching for over the last 4 months and like i always say all good things come to those who wait ^"^

I know these motos may not be everybodys cup of tea but holding a set after over 30 years is a amazing experience.

Call me Gay..but i nearly shed a tear :'(

Really enjoying this revisited hobby and fooking love these  :10_2_12:  :LolLolLolLol:

to me they are the visual perfection of old school bmx  :4_17_5:

and to think back in 1983 i nearly swapped a pair of cheap blue spencer rimmed wheels(halfords) for me to want to cut the x webs out of them coz i thought they would look like skyways :uglystupid2:
thank god the nipper backed out of the swap as if i had i would have never forgiven myself for such a barbaric act on such georgeous wheels :LolLolLolLol:

Nice blue max buddy  :smitten:
Well this is what these bad boys are going on and its a beauty  :daumenhoch: ....Im in the middle of a few early goose builds but this one is costing me a packet.
Im basicly replicating my very first bike from back in the day...Having said that mine had a set of steel spokes with a rear coaster  ;D....still potato picking and a paper round wouldnt let me stretch to the moto's :( so im building how it should have looked :daumenhoch:

It's an 81 team mongoose, in nickel not chrome so slightly darker. Original finish, top condition, was real treat getting this one. Came together in a record time of about 3 weeks.

Rim profile & manufacturing location wording stamped in them , amongst maybe other things I can't remember right now ( did research about 3-4 years ago when I got some but have forgotten loads since ) . I'm sure Mr Boba can advise us of  ;)
